The 20th release on Dopamine Music features the debut of an exciting up and coming producer to the label. Nikko Z's burgeoning imprint has always stretched the genre confining borders of electronic music with effortless ease and the labels newest offering continues to do just that. Montreal, Canada based producer Joe Mesmar first came to our attention when he was announced as one of the winners for Josh Wink's 'Balls' remix contest. Joe's energetic, tech house rework was released on Ovum in October of this year and subsequent releases followed shortly thereafter on Naked Lunch and Ambizi Records. Dopamine Music is now proud to present a brand new mini LP from Joe entitled 'You Say'. For electronic music fans that loved the relentless energy and keen dance floor sensibility of Joe's 'Balls' remix there are a wealth of quality cuts on the mini LP. The rolling grooves and cool tribal sensibilities of the opening cut 'Dabkeh' sets the stage for an intense ride. An added funkiness appears on 'Scream' which leads wonderfully into the wobbly grooves of 'Soul Punch'. The track 'Techno Man' is a decidedly more deliberate and punchy cut which should prove to be dominate on the darker dance floors out there. The collection peaks with the final two selections 'Dark Paradise' and 'Faded Horizons'. The former is a assortment of ominous beats and romping bass lines which propels the track into peak time territory while the catchy rhythms complement the drummy groove perfectly. 'Faded Horizons' might be the ultimate peak time party record though. With an infectious line of rhythmic stabs and a momentous groove the unrelenting energy and epic vibes should see many hands in the air moments over the coming months.
