Above & Beyond's Trance Around The World (#TATW) Radio Show will reach its 300th episode on December 25th 2009 and to celebrate, Jono, Paavo and Tony are handing over the microphone to the show's 21m global listeners, as well as hosting a special #TATW300 Party.
Part One of the #TATW300 celebrations will see listeners choose and introduce on the show their all-time favourite tracks from past episodes. The #TATW300 Fans' Special will air on Christmas Day.
Part Two is a big #TATW300 party at Forum Hall in Moscow, featuring many of the radio show's most popular artists. Russia was the first country to syndicate TATW - now broadcast on over 120 FM stations worldwide - and on December 12 Above & Beyond will be joined by Kyau & Albert, Super8 & Tab, Daniel Kandi, Mat Zo and local talent, PROFF. A special 300 minute broadcast featuring highlights from the event will air on January 1, 2010.
The official countdown to #TATW300 will take the form of an online advent calendar, with some fantastic prizes given away every day in December until Christmas Day. Full prize details will be announced at the end of November. In addition, fans are invited to start their own #TATW300 discussion topics in the Anjunabeats forum and to use #TATW300 as the twitter hashtag.
HOW YOU CAN BE INVOLVED IN THE TATW300 FANS SPECIAL BROADCAST:
Above & Beyond would like YOU to compile and present the '#TATW300 Fans' Special' show. This is your chance to present your favourite tracks to listeners all around the world, and you can get involved in the following ways:
* We have set up a special youtube group at www.youtube.com/group/tatw300 where you can submit video OR audio of yourselves introducing your favourite track from the past 300 episodes of TATW.
* If you can't submit audio or video but still want your vote to count, you can tweet track requests to @aboveandbeyond3 (using the hashtag #TATW300) or email to tatw300@tatw300.com
Remember to include your name and where you're from, then mention your all-time favourite track from TATW and why you chose it. If you like you can also mention where and why you always listen to Trance Around The World. Feel free to inject some energy and humour but please keep audio and video submissions short and clearly audible.
Track voting will run from November 16th until December 14th. The most requested tracks will feature in the 300th show, together with a selection of track introductions from the listener contributions (regrettably, we will not be able to include every single fan submission, due to time constraints). Check www.trancearoundtheworld.com for a fully searchable archive of all past episodes of the show and to help pick your favourite.
